Biography
A life of service in the 3rd Ward
Qushona Harris is a Bronzeville native whose life has been shaped by the neighbors, elders, and institutions of Chicago's historic Black Metropolis. She learned early that community is not a slogan — it's a practice of showing up.
Her work has centered on the everyday needs of families: safe blocks, stable housing, good schools, and small businesses that can grow. She has organized clean-ups, connected residents to services, and sat with business owners at kitchen tables to solve problems the city never returned a call about.
Family values anchor everything she does. Qushona believes the measure of leadership is whether a grandmother feels safe on her porch, a teenager sees a future here, and a young family can afford to stay.
She is running for Alderman because Bronzeville deserves a representative who is accessible, transparent, and relentless about investment that reaches the block.
