Bronzeville was born of the Great Migration — families who arrived with little more than courage and built banks, newspapers, theaters, churches, and businesses that defined Black excellence in America.
That legacy lives today in our entrepreneurs, artists, educators, faith leaders, seniors, and young people. This campaign is about honoring it and expanding it, so that opportunity here belongs to everyone.

Why I'm Running
Leadership begins with listening.
I'm Qushona Harris — rooted in Bronzeville, committed to Chicago, and ready to lead. I've spent my life serving neighbors: organizing on blocks, supporting families, and helping small businesses navigate a system that too often overlooks them.
I'm running because our ward deserves representation that answers the phone, shows the numbers, and shares the credit. Transparency, accessibility, economic opportunity, public safety, and real neighborhood investment — that's the standard.
